2. "The Fall of the House of Usher" Close Reading (All - class discussion.)
3. "The Fall of the House of Usher" page 31 Discussion (1-5)
4. Do IR if you have extra time.

 Page 43 is due on Wednesday, September 13th along with Close Reading.

Bring your workbook to class daily for participation. Be patient for grade updates as tonight is Back to School Night and I was out yesterday with a sub. Homework: 1. Bring your Independent Reading Book to class to read next class period for your warm-up. Finish questions #1 and #2 if you did not already. 2. Read the rest of page 16 through page 19 for your homework. "The Fall of the House of Usher" found in your workbook. Do the close reading on pages 14, 17 and 19 in your workbook. Homework: Mini-photojournalism assignment (See Google classroom for details. There is an example picture and rubric.) This is due next class, but the Gallery Walk will be on Monday, May 7th. Read the "Midas Touch" in Google classroom or your workbook. Do the comprehension check so you are ready for a group discussion next class. We are going to finish group work next class. Due today: Absent/Late page 408 Paragraphs (See Google classroom for more details.) Root word assignment (This may be turned in by Wednesday, May 9th) I am going to make a check of sheet for work and have it due the 9th. This will be submitted written. Final Exam Reminders

Please come to the final exam on time and be ready to participate during the entire final exam time. (You must remain in class seated until the bell rings.) I recommend that you bring a pencil and eraser to your English Final exam. No personal cell phones or personal electronics may be used until every student has finished the final exam. School Chrome books may only be used for Part B (Unit 4 Essay). If you finish early you may work on an independent quiet activity. (Remember that finals are being taken next door and near our classroom that may last all period. Students may be working in your class all period so plan ahead.) Please return your novel, Lord of the Flies or Night,  during library hours or with another final exam appointment. (We already had our return appointment and will not be leaving the classroom during the final exam.)
