Homework: Quiz on Friday for "The Fall of the House of Usher"
The review will be in Google classroom by tomorrow evening and hard copies will be given out next class period.

 1. Read your Independent Reading Book. (Questions #7-#12 will be given out next class period and are in Google classroom.)
2. Finish workbook page 33 and 34, if needed. Due on the quiz day this Friday.
3. Finish your close read for "House not Taken". (Questions are in the columns of the story. There are two.) Be sure that page 43 (1-5) is done to discuss next class.

 Due today: 
1. Illustrations (Assigned page # or #s + paragraph explanation)
2. page 32 (workbook) 1-5 Questions (Bottom of page)
3. IR #1-#6 Questions

 Agenda:
1. Discuss class expectations. (Reminders: no eating in class, be on task, put cell phones away and earphones)
2. Review page 32 (workbook #1 and #2) Then, share out #3-#5 with classmates. I checked your questions and asked you the essential question #5. 
3. Discuss page 33 and start by finding examples and citing evidence from the text.
4. Finish illustrations and other workbook pages as needed or read your IR book (if done) or help a classmate.

Final Exam Reminders

Please come to the final exam on time and be ready to participate during the entire final exam time. (You must remain in class seated until the bell rings.) I recommend that you bring a pencil and eraser to your English Final exam. No personal cell phones or personal electronics may be used until every student has finished the final exam. School Chrome books may only be used for Part B (Unit 4 Essay). If you finish early you may work on an independent quiet activity. (Remember that finals are being taken next door and near our classroom that may last all period. Students may be working in your class all period so plan ahead.) Please return your novel, Lord of the Flies or Night,  during library hours or with another final exam appointment. (We already had our return appointment and will not be leaving the classroom during the final exam.)

Complete your "The Golden Touch" Review and study for your quiz. Due today: Absent and late Unit 4 Group Work and classwork packet Agenda: 1. Watch "The Golden Touch" cartoon (See Google classroom.) 2. Work on your review for "The Golden Touch". 3. Paragraph (page 408) conferences. These will continue next class by request. I will update your grades Wednesday by the end of lunch. Thank you for your patience. :)
