2-21-18 Agenda (You may use a notebook or notebook paper for the written parts of the agenda. Be sure to turn in your EXIT CARD at the end of class.)
Homework:
  1. Complete your pre-writing on page 615 of your workbook for the following prompt (on page 614): Is there more value in vengeance or virtue (forgiveness)?
  2. Meet in front of the library next class period (2-23-18) with your ID card to get a copy of Lord of the Flies or Night for Independent Reading.
    The DVD clip will be next class. See Google classroom for the prompt.

Agenda
1. Class: Jumpstart question: Why might have Caliban been chosen to be in a poem? What is Caliban like? What makes his stand out from the other characters?

Absent Quizzes (Act IV - The Tempest open book) These will be done after I return from a meeting.
2.  What is imagery?
Read through the poems on pages 607-609 each once before we read as a class and annotate for imagery.
3. What is a possible theme for either poem? Why?
4. Do comprehension check on page 610. Write a DOK 3 Research to Explore question. (See the bottom of page 610.)
5. The Tempest Follow up Discussion (Write answers to the following questions and be prepared to share out in class.) See Google classroom for a detailed agenda.
