Homework:
1. Photo essay (page 407) 2 pic (original) minimum
Directions are in your workbook, but I will type up directions for next class period and answer additional clarifying questions.
2. Latin Root -TEMP practice
 
Due today:
  1. Any Unit 4 work for Progress Grades
  2. Double chunk paragraph from page 408 (minimum 2 CDs from two different sources)
  3. Pair are authorized. Be sure to put both of your names on your paragraph.

Agenda:
1. New story (assigned groups) new handouts
Only one handout per group member needs to be submitted.
"In La Riconada, Peru, Searching for Beauty in Ugliness" pages 419-424
2. Two discussion questions: How did this reading relate to the essential question?
What similarities, differences and or observations did you find between this story and "The Golden Touch"?
3. Last 30 minutes (Late work, absent work, brainstorm photo essays ideas, start homework handouts)

Final Exam Reminders

Please come to the final exam on time and be ready to participate during the entire final exam time. (You must remain in class seated until the bell rings.) I recommend that you bring a pencil and eraser to your English Final exam. No personal cell phones or personal electronics may be used until every student has finished the final exam. School Chrome books may only be used for Part B (Unit 4 Essay). If you finish early you may work on an independent quiet activity. (Remember that finals are being taken next door and near our classroom that may last all period. Students may be working in your class all period so plan ahead.) Please return your novel, Lord of the Flies or Night,  during library hours or with another final exam appointment. (We already had our return appointment and will not be leaving the classroom during the final exam.)

Watch "The Golden Touch" cartoon (See Google classroom.) 2. Work on your review for "The Golden Touch". 3. Paragraph (page 408) conferences. These will continue next class by request.
