4/25/17 Shortened class period due to testing

Due to testing there was no time to check off homework. ("The Golden Touch" Analyze the Text on page 457 and Analyze Craft and Structure on page 458.) Please tear out your homework workbook papers and turn them into me next class period. You may also use notebook paper. 

 Friday grade deadline! Late projects, quiz corrections for your novel quiz and unit 4 work is all due this Friday! Tear out notebook papers as I may not have time to check off workbooks and want to make sure you get credit for grades.

 New homework: Due next Thursday, May 3rd

  • You must use original photos you have or will take. 
  • Minimum 2. 
  • Answer the essential question for the unit and follow the directions on page 407. I will update directions for next class period. We'll be doing a Gallery Walk.

1. Explain the new Project (page 407) Work on a brainstorm. Where will you get your pics? What will be in your pics?

Final Exam Reminders

Please come to the final exam on time and be ready to participate during the entire final exam time. (You must remain in class seated until the bell rings.) I recommend that you bring a pencil and eraser to your English Final exam. No personal cell phones or personal electronics may be used until every student has finished the final exam. School Chrome books may only be used for Part B (Unit 4 Essay). If you finish early you may work on an independent quiet activity. (Remember that finals are being taken next door and near our classroom that may last all period. Students may be working in your class all period so plan ahead.) Please return your novel, Lord of the Flies or Night,  during library hours or with another final exam appointment. (We already had our return appointment and will not be leaving the classroom during the final exam.)

Complete your "The Golden Touch" Review and study for your quiz. Due today: Absent and late Unit 4 Group Work and classwork packet Agenda: 1. Watch "The Golden Touch" cartoon (See Google classroom.) 2. Work on your review for "The Golden Touch". 3. Paragraph (page 408) conferences. These will continue next class by request. I will update your grades Wednesday by the end of lunch. Thank you for your patience. :)
